October is National Disabilities Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a time to celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities. This year’s theme is “My Disability is One Part of Who I Am.” 2015 marks 70 years since the first observance of NDEAM.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) has more information about NDEAM and resources you can use to create your own celebration in your area.
