The DODD CMS Transition Plan Committee hosted forums in Toledo and Columbus last week, where people with developmental disabilities and their families, service providers, and County Board staff attended to learn more about the new rule from the federal Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and what the state is doing to ensure we’re in compliance. Members of the DODD CMS Transition Plan Committee discussed the new regulation, and shared an overview of DODD’s portion of the state’s transition plan, as well as how to provide comments about the plan to the Office of Health Transformation. The committee also answered attendees’ questions about the plan.
Meetings resume the first week of January, and are scheduled in Athens, Cleveland and Cincinnati. The complete schedule is online – share this flyer with anyone who may be interested in attending. If you are not able to attend a meeting in person, you can download the presentation and handout.
