Pipeline EXTRA: Ohio releases draft plan to comply with new federal HCBS requirements

In January 2014, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released new requirements for Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waivers administered by states. Today, as required by the new federal rule, the Office of Health Transformation (OHT) released a draft transition plan for public comment. Based on the comments it receives, OHT will refine and submit a final transition plan to CMS by March 17, 2015.

The draft plan is available on the Office of Health Transformation’s website. Also, a public notice, a one-page summary and Q&As also are posted on the website.
