A new website, autismcertificationcenter.org, offers up-to-date information about ASD In Action, the online training and certification program being developed by DODD and OCALI (Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence). Launching in autumn 2015, ASD In Action is designed to help ensure that providers – including paraprofessionals, job coaches, residential facilities staff, childcare providers, and others – are properly trained to work with and meet the needs of individuals with autism.
The program, which will be free to all Ohioans, has three tiers to meet the needs of different audiences, and offers optional certification for professionals who work with individuals with autism. The website offers more information about the program, including an overview video, highlights of the modules under development, and more information about the different levels of training. The site will be updated regularly as progress continues to be made.
