The Ohio Shared Living Work Group
The Ohio Shared Living work group meets regularly to develop an organized county-by-county approach to further developing community-based residential options in family homes for people in the state’s DD services system. Currently, 13 individual counties will be exploring this approach in depth as the efforts get underway, as well as one regional effort involving several counties. Pictured are some representatives of the work group, which includes members of County Boards of DD, residential service providers, and agency partners including DODD, the Ohio Provider Resource Association, the Ohio Association of County Boards, and The Arc of Ohio.
The Ohio Shared Living team has agreed to broaden the base of support for this more sustainable residential option by,
“Making it Simple … Keeping it Local … and Bringing it all Together.”
